Playing is Hard Work

We had such a fun day playing outside all day yesterday.

It was beautiful and we stayed out pretty much all weekend. The kids played hard.

....

Maybe a little TOO hard.... :)

Paisley is Six Months Old!

My baby girl is getting so big so fast! It is flying by. I am not sure how much you weigh or how long you are. You have your six month check up next week and I will update then. You are trying to sit up on your own. As long as you don't lean too far to the side or back you do fine. You have a little bit of separation anxiety (okay, maybe a LOT). You don't like to be put down at all. Even if I am in the same room and you can see me. Most of the time you just want to be held. I know you are teething too, so that's hard.

Your big bubba likes to feed you. He asks me all the time. I gladly allow him to do it when I have stuff to get done.

You also love to go shopping with me. You didn't at first but now I think you just love the people watching part of it.

You grab EVERYTHING. If we are in a restaurant I have to move everything to the center of the table. If you can see it, you want to hold it.

Sophie is your favorite toy. You are teething pretty bad. I have a feeling you are going to be a horrible teether and it is going to be hard on you. Breaks my heart :(

Your absolute favorite place to be is outside. You love going to the park. You watch the older kids and I can tell you just want to jump down and go play with them.

You had your first Valentine's Day this month, which resulted in your first rose from a boy: your daddy. He loves you so much.

Your first set of Minnie ears. Hopefully we will be able to take you to Disney World sooner than later.

Your brother had to have a picture with you in your shades.

This is your new best friend. I put everything in it: frozen baby food, bananas... you are occupied for quite a while with this. You also tried juice the other day and loved it too. So far you have loved everything I have given you. Not too picky.

Trying to sit up and play. As much as you hate to be put down, this seemed to help some. You played like this for a while. We may have to do this more often.

You have grown so much in the last six months. I know the next six will go by just as fast. I am trying to treasure every moment you have while so small. I will never get this time back. I am so blessed to be your mommy.

Love,
Mommy

Happy Valentines Day 2012

WOO! I am worn out. I finally have a few minutes to sit alone and work on the blog. I love this blog, it is like an outlet for me. Unfortunately we have had numerous doctor appointments, two kids starting baseball, school, a baby that decided not to nap for about four days straight (AT ALL), and some personal stuff all going on so I have slacked BIG time. I guess life just happens, huh? Here's to catching up!

This Valentines Day was pretty low key. We did get to go on our first date since Paisley was born. We went to Longhorn and then cosmic bowling. It's usually a movie and I wanted to see The Vow. I went with my mom the night before because I knew he had no desire to see it (I wasn't that impressed by the way). It was nice to actually go somewhere together where we could actually interact with each other. He even flirted with me a little! (hee hee).

Lucas made these for his teachers for their school party. Some wonderful smelling hand lotion and some cute cutouts of his sweet little hands.

These are the Valentines he gave to his friends at school. I saw the idea on pinterest and just googled the saying on the card. I had found this cute printable version in about two minutes.

Paisley and I made a sweet hand print.

Paisley waiting to go in for her brother's school party. She was so excited!

Lucas was so cute. The kids put on a cute little program and sang the sweetest songs.

His shirt says "Most Eligible Bachelor". I found it at WalMart for about four dollars. Score! AND it is cute!

Opening their gifts from Cag and I.

The sweetest little Valentine ever!

Minnie Mouse ears from mommy and daddy!

They're so cool in their shades!

Paisley's first rose. Her daddy brought it to her on Valentines Day. So sweet.

My roses from Cagney. I'm such a lucky woman to have found him!!

A picture's worth a thousand words...

The dress and bonnet were my nanny's when she was little. The rocking chair was my Granny Parson's when she was little. So let's recap: The rocking chair is almost one hundred years old and belonged to Paisley's great great grandmother. The dress and bonnet were made for my nanny by Paisley's two great great great grandmothers.

This is the sweetest picture so far. I took it with my phone. I wish I would have had my camera but I did not know that she wanted to do it until we were already there. At least we got to do it though. The dress was almost too little for her. If we would have waited one more day to do this, it would have busted at the seams. True story. AND Paisley is six months old and my nanny was over a year when she wore this. HA!

Move It Monday: February 6, 2012

I finally can spread some good news. I lost two pounds this week. YAY me! My husband and I started the Power 90 workouts and it has been pretty fun working out with him. I was surprised at how fun. We purchased a seat for the baby for the back of his bike so I am hoping there is much more family fitness in our near future.

The kids both start baseball tomorrow night. Which means our lives are about to be turned upside down. Of course, we wouldn't have it any other way. The great thing about the park they play out of is the awesome walking track. They just repaved it too. Paisley and I are gonna tear it up.

We did slack yesterday in the food department. Cagney made some of his wonderful honey BBQ wings and I made some spinach dip. It was the super bowl, give us a break! At least we were watching someone be active while we ate it? Does that count?? HA!

Not very much of an update today. We are super busy this week, I have a ton to get done. Hopefully I will have more next Monday.

I leave you with this question: Have any of you tried zumba? Yeah, yeah I know I am the only one that hasn't probably, but did you see a difference? Class or just a DVD? Thanks! :)

Gorgeous Day at the Park... In January

I honestly am still in disbelief that it has been so warm. Last year the kids had already missed a ton of school due to ice and snow. Cagney was off for almost an entire week because the roads were so bad. Not this year.

I really am thankful. Paisley loves the outdoors so much and she is at such a fun stage. She stares at everything outside in such amazement and wonder. It's like everything is magic for her right now.

We headed to the park after I picked Lucas up from school yesterday. It was Paisley's first trip and I have to say, it may be her hangout. She loved watching all the older kids running around and the birds... she even loved the walking trail.

We had lunch there. We will do this a lot in the spring. Sure beats being cooped up at the dining room table.

The sun was in their eyes and this mom didn't even realize it. Go me!

I hope we have a lot more weather like this very soon!

Oh, How Pinteresting

Today's post is a ton of random pins. That's pretty much it.

Want for the bedroom!

Crab rangoon dip. Shut the front door. I LOVE crab rangoons.

I cry at stop signs. This is great.

Sometimes I just want to scream this at people.

Made me tear up.

Want it so badly...

This is not true, yet still hilarious.
