22 Weeks and a Tornado Warning

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 22 weeks
Size of baby: Paisley is the size of a papaya.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have gained a total of 5 lbs so far. I'm thinking she is 3 of them. She may beat her brother's weight. We breed 'em big.
Maternity Clothes: Yep. My stomach is growing much faster this time.
Gender: It's a Girl! Paisley Nicole Chappell
Movement: I feel her kick all the time now. We saw her this week too!
Sleep: Sleeping soundly between bathroom breaks.
What I miss: Splenda. Weird. And multiple cups of coffee.
Cravings: Hit me today. Homemade rice crispie treats.
Symptoms: Leg cramps at night.FREQUENT urination.
Best Moment this week: Being able to see Paisley kick and Lucas' reaction!

Last night we had some MAJOR storms come through here. Thank God no tornadoes at our house. I am so thankful but also so devastated for the people affected. We had a couple that were literally headed straight for us and we were camped out in the basement. Somehow, each one slid around us. We had tornadoes hit everywhere around us, except ON us. So scary. The death toll in the south so far is about 250 and rising. So sad. Please say a prayer for all that have lost a home, a parent, a child....
Aren't my kids troopers though? They slept on the basement floor the entire time we were down there! Lucas even snored his little head off. I never thought sounds that big could come from someone so small. He is truly his father's child.
My meteorologist husband. I couldn't keep him inside. It never got horrible here, but the wind was awful. We did stand out and watch the lightening show. I have never seen anything like it. So beautiful. The entire sky was constantly lit.

Blake's Baptism

Blake took a huge step in faith last month. He got saved on March 27th! I posted quickly about it. This weekend he took a huge step and was baptised! On Easter Sunday!
I also shared a few weeks ago that we belong to New Season Church. Our pastor is Steve Flockhart and is absolutely amazing.
Before the service they asked everyone to write down what they wanted others to know about Jesus. Blake said that since he had accepted Jesus he had never been happier and that he hoped that everyone could know that feeling! Melt my heart!
Now why do you wait? Arise, be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16)
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38)
Will you look at that smile??
We could not be more proud of him.

Now Lucas has been whining saying that he wants to be "babutize" too.

Happy Easter!

He's all mine ladies!!
Blake on Easter morning. We failed to get pictures of them and their Easter baskets! :(
My little family outside the church on Easter morning. Blake and Cagney's brother got baptized so this was an extra special service for us on top of it being Easter!
My love muffin waiting to eat at his Papa's house. We went over for a cookout with the whole family.
I now wish we had a sidewalk in front of our house. He rode up and down the entire time. He was trying to yell Cowabunga!! but instead it came out "Runga Bunga!!" He said it over and over and laughed his little head off.
Now that is a good looking man I scored myself!! I am so lucky!
Someone has been into the dirt cake!!
Dad had to get in on the fun. He always does. I'm just glad he made it in one piece.
Egg Hunt! It was very hard for me to keep up with this little guy. Being 22 weeks pregnant and all, along with the 80 degree weather. (I know, if 80 bothers me I don't know what I'll do come August!)
Brooklyn and "Ukie" hunting eggs together. That's what she calls him, Ukie.
On the run and NOT slowing down!

He managed to score a whopping 27 eggs!!
Cousins actually getting along for a minute, but not for long! HA!
Lucas posed, while Nick and Blake pretty much fished the entire time.

Let us not forget the real meaning of Easter. It has nothing to do with the Easter Bunny, or egg hunting... Easter is to celebrate that He is Risen!! He died so that we could LIVE! If that's not love I don't know what is, and I don't know about you but I am so grateful! What a wonderful God we serve!

Welcome Spring!

We water the flowers every evening together. This is his favorite thing lately. He begs all day until it is cool enough in the evening to complete the task.

I just hope they stay alive because living with little boys, this happens a lot. He could at least pay attention to where he aims... ;)

20 weeks.

Lucas' Birthday Party

Lucas' Birthday party was a success this year! Can you guess the theme?
We rented a Monster Truck bounce house and he loved it!! We had it for the entire weekend and it was hard to get him out of it. He had the time of his life.
There is a lady in our area that makes cakes out of her house for a living and she is phenomenal. Always does an amazing job. Of course we had to use her. Lucas picked white cake with oreo filling. He is his mother's child...
Happy Birthday to you!! He loves the attention. I hope he does okay when Paisley arrives in a few months. He is not going to know what hit him.
We had a ton of people come. It was supposed to be 65 and beautiful, which is great since it is normally freezing and raining around his birthday. It turned out to be around 88 and not a cloud in the sky. It was HOT!!!
You can tell in this picture how excited he was. To be a kid again and only have to worry about birthday parties and what toy you should play with that day... gotta love the innocence.
When everyone left, he got a hold of daddy! Let me tell you, this little boy loves his daddy. He asks about him all day every day while he is working. Melts my heart!
Another successful birthday for Lucas. Now let's hope he stays 4 forever. I'm not sure I can handle him turning 5 one day...

Allergy Woes...

Lucas has had allergies since I can remember. He just turned 4. I found a new allergist since I was not pleased with the old one. Last Thursday when I took him, I left with eight prescriptions.

He has always had bad eczema. I left with two different ointments for this. I left with an epipen because his allergies are so bad. We still have no idea if he is allergic to bees, yellow jackets, etc. and of course the doctor would rather us be safe than sorry.

The main reason I took him last week was because we have noticed he is wheezing ALOT. One thing I was concerned of was asthma. I was right. He was diagnosed last Thursday. We left with two inhalers and a nebulizer.

Today we had to go back for an allergy test. I wanted some answers as to exactly what it might be that set him off. Last week they drew a tube of blood to test for food allergies. The results were back today. They categorize the results from Class 0- Class 6 (Six being the most severe). The results:

Peanuts: Class 5
Pork: Class 3
Eggs: Class 3
Wheat: Class 2
Milk: Class 2

Soybean: Class 2He had a couple more reactions but they were on an extremely low scale and I was told not to really worry about them unless I noticed a progression. NO peanuts whatsoever, which I knew before going. The others he can have in moderation, or take it from him for two weeks or so and see if I notice a difference. Honestly, they don't think it would make one really since he is allergic to so many other things in the air. These were the results of the stick test:Dogs was the most positive. Cats were second. Horses, gerbils, cockroaches, trees, dust mites, grass, and weeds. Pretty much, if they pricked him with it he reacted.
My poor baby :(I'd much prefer to see his precious little face looking like this.

New Season Church

This past Friday Kelly's Korner had a Show Us Your Life Friday. I just saw and had to enter, even though I am 5 days late joining in!

We started going to New Season Church after not having a church home for close to a year. I had heard from several people how amazing it was and we finally woke up one Sunday and decided "why not"? We fell in love instantly. It is such a wonderful place. The pastor is Steve Flockhart. I just love that both of my kids are just as in love with it as we are. It makes it even better that this past Sunday, my sweet Blake was saved. It was the first time he had ever been to the regular service instead of Children's Church. EVERY service is wonderful and so touching. It is a very modern church and I feel it is just what we needed.

Birthdays Galore!

We had two very big birthdays this past week! Monday was Cagney's birthday and he turned 27 years old! He is such a wonderful husband and we are so thankful for everything he does for us! I feel so blessed to call him my husband! Lucas and I made him a cake while Blake was at school that morning. It wasn't beautiful but it tasted great!
The Birthday Boy!
Lucas has played with this box for a week straight! He loves it. Forget toys...
Oh No! It's Captain Hook! This hanger has been his entertainment for the past week also!
Lucas and I met some friends at Chuck E Cheese on his actual birthday, which was Wednesday. His party was not until this past Sunday.
Lucas, Anna Beth, and Tripp.
Lucas and Chuck E. He is not shy!
