Well, thanks to my wonderful PawPaw, Lucas' baseball headboard is finished! It is too cute for words. See for yourself:It took me forever to find just the five bats I found for free. So I asked him to cut them in half so it looked like we had ten. He used rough cut lumber for the 4x4 posts and the 1x6 boards. I glued old baseballs on the top of the posts and Ta Da!

The Phantom haunts the Fox one last time
On Saturday, Cagney and I went with my parents to The Fabulous Fox Theater to see The Phantom of the Opera on broadway. I loved the movie, but had never seen the show, so my parents (who both love the live show), have been wanting to take me for abut 5 years now. It finally came to town, so we got tickets and I have to say this is the most amazing show I have ever seen. We have been to see many great shows at the Fox but this one tops them all for sure. No doubt about that.
The sad part is, this is the final tour. This was the final show in the southeast. They will still perform in New York and in Las Vegas I believe, but no more US Tour. I am so glad I got to go when I did.

Favorite Bible Verses
Everyone at Kelly's Korner is posting their favorite bible verses. Here are some of mine:
"Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. "
Psalm 55:2
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. . .And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
excerpts from 1 Corinthians 13:4-13
This is one that I stopped to think about more. When life gets to be a lot:
"I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken."
Psalm 16:8

Mirror turned Chalkboard
I bought this old mirror at a yard sale. 3 bucks. It had some potential, I just didn't know what I was going to use it for. Then it hit me! I needed a chalkboard for my office. I had a can of unused chalkboard paint. Time to get to work.
This is the mirror before:
Take it apart:Prime the frame and backside of the mirror:
A couple of coats of chalkboard paint and VOILA:
Now I just need the perfect spot to hang it in my office!

Lucas says Grace
My 3-year-old is so adorable. No, seriously, he may be the cutest 3-year-old ever. He says some of the most off the wall stuff, but yesterday, he melted my heart and made me giggle at the same time.
We sat at the table to have dinner and he asked me if he could say Grace. Well, of course! My toddler just offered to say the blessing! Here is a run down of how it went.
::Looks at us like we are crazy::
"Close you eyes!"
"Jesus, thank you for our food. We will eat it as soon as we go and get gas. AAAAAmen."
::Looks up::
"Did I do good mommy?"
And I melted......

Eclipse!
My two best friends and I set out to the midnight showing of Eclipse on Tuesday night. Two of us have kids 3 and under and the other is about 8 months pregnant, so we should have been beat by 9:00. But NO WAY! We have been waiting for this movie to come out for the last 222 days (or 31 weeks and 5 days, but who's counting?) :)The movie completely surpassed my expectations. Most definitely the best of the three. It is absolutely wonderful and I have been not once, not twice, but FOUR times since Tuesday. Yes, I have a problem. I had to go each time though guys, it was with four different people, so that makes it a little better.... RIGHT??!

I'm Back!
Well, here I am again. I said I was going to keep up with this blog and have been doing a horrible job of it. I really am going to stick to it this time. I think my problem is, I get so caught up in reading everyone elses, that I forgot about mine ;)
A lot has happened since I last blogged.
Number one: We finished the garage finally! It is completely closed in and fully functional as a living area now. We added a bonus family room, play room, and a craft room for me of course! We also added a mud room, which I am so glad we did! Here are a couple of pics so far (keep in mind that I said we "finished" the garage, I never said it was put together yet, I have a TON of work to do as far as organizing and decor goes. So try not to cringe too much):
Bonus Family Room:
I Cannot believe that I took a picture of their play room when it looked like this. We have had an exhausting summer, can you tell?
My craft room/office. It needs soooo much work. Yes, I am a diehard twihard! HA!
I wasn't kidding when I said I had a LONG way to go down there, see??!
But how amazing is my hubby? He finished the entire garage alone! I love him!!
Number two: We had a birthday for each kiddo as well as the hubster. We also had a full baseball season and Blake also made all stars! Plan on seeing some pics on days when I am drawing a blank or need filler posts. (Hey, at least I am honest, right? :)
Number three: We are in the process of redecorating most of the house, so plan on seeing those pics as well. It is going to be a journey that is for sure. We are starting with Luke's room.
Number four: I lost 20 pounds. Just sayin'. ;)
It's good to be back!
