Vacation 2012: Walt Disney World

This has been about a week in the making now. Don't you just love getting settled back in after a long trip? Ha! Well we surprised the kids with a trip to Disney for fall break from school. Best decision we ever made and we are already looking into doing it again at the same time next year. Every single one of us had the best time we have ever had. Ever. We took a whopping 1,200 pictures while we were gone.

This post is going to be broken down into a few posts. Maybe by day? Anyway, buckle up!

Day One:

We drive most of the way on Friday after the kids got out of school. We stayed at a hotel Friday night and then drove about two more hours on Saturday and we were there! Disney World! Thank goodness they already had a room ready for us. It wasn't guaranteed until three. We just wanted to arrive at a decent time so we could explore the Magic Kingdom!

Once we got everything into our room, we hopped on the first bus we saw straight to the Magic Kingdom.

But on the way we took a few pictures at the resort. We stayed at their newest value resort: Art of Animation. I think that is where we would like to stay next time as well, we loved it so much!

Someone is so excited on the bus ride over!

Fall is my favorite time of year, so I was so excited to see all of the gorgeous fall decor out. Main Street is just gorgeous.

Our first view of the castle. I had to get a picture. I have not been to Disney in twenty years and I felt like a seven year old walking down that street...

We were lucky enough to see the Dapper Dans perform. They are so talented.

We took in one of the many shows in front of the castle...

I was so excited that the first characters we got to meet were Ariel and Prince Eric. She is my favorite princess!

Hubby and the boys in front of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We road a few things that did not have long waits, but mostly just took it all in on this day.

We did manage to ride tha Haunted Mansion. We rode it again before heading back home on our last day. It was a family favorite. Even Paisley had fun as you can see...

After that it was getting dark so we had some dinner at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe and watched Wishes. Best foreworks on the planet.

I am just going to warn you ahead of time: you are going to be sick of reading about my Disney vacation! This is only day one of eight! I am going to enjoy reliving it every single second though!
