State Fair

We have had the best little "staycation" this week. Cag took a week off of work and we took it day by day. It was so nice to be able to sleep until we woke up and do whatever we felt like doing that day. We got some things crossed off of our to do list and we had a few fun outings. Last night we took advantage of the State Fair. The kids had an absolute blast. There is something about the rides, music, and fried food...

I hope everyone is having an amazing fall so far.

I thought it fitting to share the adorable photos I took at Lucas' Thanksgiving Feast at school.

Working hard! He loves school and is excelling and that makes my heart so happy. :)

 My sweet pilgrim!

 Lucas and his best buddies!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful day full of food, family, and fellowship!

Bits & Pieces

I'm back! I feel like I have not blogged in forever. Wait, I haven't. Our old computer completely crashed on us and I had to decide on a new one and order it and all that good stuff. It arrived today and I couldn't be happier with it so far. Time will tell. If you have any experience with a Gateway let me know. This is my first!

Now for the pics (things that have gone on since the computer crash of 2012):

1-4: Paisley playing in the yard. She loves balls, refuses to keep her pretty bows in her hair, and pushes her car now more than she rides in it.

5: After MUCH research and searching for deals I joined the mini van club! Couldn't be happier and I absolutely love my Honda Odyssey. Best. Car. Ever. This is further proof that you should never say never. ;)

6: Lucas had his banquet for fall baseball. It was very low key and nice. We took them to McDonald's (YAY- HA!) and let them wear themselves out.

7-9: Lucas had a Veteran's Day program at his school. They asked each family if there were any Veteran's that they would like honored. Of course we signed my Grampy up. They were all so impressed that he still fit into his uniform. Of course I got the most precious pictures of him and Lucas!

Pumpkin Carving Fun!

What is fall without some pumpkin carving? I was freezing all weekend but we braved it on the back porch anyway. The wind was ridiculous!

My three babies were watching daddy carve as usual! They scoop and daddy carves. Daddy was so thrilled to do this again! He just loves it (NOT)! He likes to see them excited but says that I should carve since I am craftier than him. Um, NO!

 Scooping out the seeds!

Someone got into their Mario stuff a little early...

Lucas chose the Avengers logo (this is a BRAND new obsession. So new that he changed his mind Halloween morning and decided he was going to be Iron Man. Yeah kid, maybe next year).

Blake chose the Browning logo. It fits him!

 The pumpkins all lit up!

The above pumpkin belongs to Miss Priss of course. Daddy just carved a window for Cinderella and we were set!

Now I am on to find some Christmas crafts!

Pumpkin Pickin' 2012

We made our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend. It is something that all of us look forward to. I love the weather and all of the colors. The kids love running around and using up some of their energy. We took a hay ride to the patch to pick out some pumpkins.

I took this as soon as her daddy put her down. She took off and squealed the entire time we were out there. She loved it.

All three of them worked very hard to find their perfect pumpkin!

These are the ones we took home. We also got some small ones because they wanted to paint them and I got a few white ones for my mantle.

They were very proud of their selections!

There were some great nature trails that we took advantage of. I wish I had somewhere convenient like that to run. How motivating to be out and about somewhere that beautiful! I loved the old remnants of this tree house and of course the one of Paisley and her daddy!

 LOVE him so much!

 The leaves were just gorgeous!

Okay, so is it weird that I took a photo of this?? We passed through a small camp ground on our way to one of the trails and I was impressed by her lot. We want a camper so bad and I want her to come decorate my set up when we get one! HA!

Once we reached the creek it was beautiful!

Then the boys saw bubbles in the water and it turned into a turtle man episode...

We thought the tee pee was so neat. It was at the end of one of the trails!

My wish is that Lucas never gets too big for this. He held my hand 80% of the way and I loved it! He is such a sweet boy!

After our walk it was time to play a little bit...

We tried this picture three different times while we were there and I finally got a decent one on the way out!

The next morning we headed to the porch and painted their small pumpkins. I painted Paisley's for her while she was busy playing at the picnic table. She loves to sit at it now so I am thinking I should go ahead and redo it like I have been wanting to. I love pinterest!
