Paisley is Ten Months Old!

My sweet girl, you are ten months old! It is so hard to grasp. Stop growing now! Please! :)

I weighed you today. You weigh right under 18 lbs. Such a petite little girl. You are getting pretty long though. Several people have noticed. You are extremely strong. You pick up things and move them and leave us in amazement. You are also becoming a little Hudini. You can unbuckle yourself in your high chair and stand up, which scares me to death! I don't want to upset you when I say this, but you may be just a tad dramatic. Just saying. You can throw a fit with the best of them. I am hoping this is one thing you soon outgrow. You are also eating like it is nobodies business. You can put away some food to be so teeny. I have yet to feed you something that you did not like or turned away.

Your paci is a permanent staple most of the time. We need to work on that...

This i smy new favorite photo of you. We did a photo shoot at Grammy and Grampys and you did okay. It didn't go as smooth as the last one. Look how wonderful the pictures came out anyway. You are just beautiful!

This grin makes my day!

I have to say, I get more comments from people on your eyes than anything. People stop me in the store aall the time. Old men mostly. It's so sweet.

You are just about walking. You stand on your own for a few seconds. It will not be long at all.

Also, we discovered this month that even though you love swimming and love the water, you hate sand.

You will be a cheerleader. I can feel it. You practice already!

I think this is the one piece of clothing you have that describes you the most.

Your brothers are still just as crazy about you as they ever were.

I love you so much sweet girl. Now I am off to begin planning your first birthday party. I ordered the invitations yesterday. It's going to be precious, but it is killing me!

Love, Mommy

My Sweet Sailor Baby- Ten Month Photo Shoot

We finally got around to doing some more pictures of baby girl. I am determined to take them myself and save some money. Sadly, it is not in our budget to pay a photographer to come and do them anytime in the near future. These are only a few. We had an outfit change. I will post those next, maybe on Monday. Enjoy!

Father's Day 2012

I did not get any pictures this Father's Day. I feel awful about that. We were so busy I didn't even think about it.

I do, however, have some gorgeous pics that show just how wonderful my husband is at being a father:

This is my husband with each of his babies. He was equally love struck with all three and still is. I am so thankful that God brought him and Blake into my life. I could not imagine a better father for my children. They all love their daddy so much. Aquote that makes me think of Cagney every time I read it, because it is so accurate with him and his kids:

A father is a sons first hero and a daughters first love.

We bought the hubs an ice cream maker for his gift. I know, not many men would be excited about that but he is extremely lactose intolerant so he was thrilled! The first thing we did was head to the grocery store to purchase ingredients and get started. We made chocolate and peach. I have to say, it was delish! This is the one we got and I love how it is so cute!

We also made him a photo to go on his desk at work. This should brighten his day:

DIY End Tables

After years of begging my husband to paint our living room, he finally caved. When he did of course I had to come up with a new color scheme. Blue being my favorite, I knew it had to be incorporated. A lot. My curtains are a pretty blue color and I figured I needed more elsewhere. The end tables we had were hand me downs. We were like the fourth family they had been through. I decided it was time to find some new "old" ones. My favorite little thrift store in town did not disappoint. It took several weeks, but sure enough my mom called me on a random trip there and said she had found them. I took them home for about twenty bucks.

This is the before. They had glass tops and that is not what I had in mind at all. I wanted wood ones...

So we got to work. We took the glass out and my husband cut some wood to fit in it's place. He glued it into place and used some wood filler to fill the gaps. We sanded the table tops completely since I had planned on staining them.

I painted the legs a beautiful robins egg blue. I purchased the paint that already had primer in it and it saved me a huge hassle. I always do that. I only brushed on one coat. I didn't want it to look perfect.

Love the detail in the legs... I used the same dark stain that we had used on the tops and brushed a light coat over the blue. Every time I would brush some on I would immediately wipe it off with a paper towel. This was the result and it is exactly what I had in mind.

I love them, I think they look amazing sitting in the living room. (Please excuse the monster trucks, I had a fussy baby on my hip and was in a hurry). :)

Oh, How Pinteresting!

No theme. Just pins. Pins I love.

I LOVE this hair style. It would be so cool during the summer too, and cute in the fall. Who am I kidding? It's cute anytime. Too bad I don't know how to french braid. :( With a girl, it's time I start learning...
